The outstanding scientist academician Vasilii Sergeevich Vladimirov would have had his 90th birthday on January 9, 2013. He made fundamental contributions to mathematical physics, complex analysis, p-adic analysis and its applications, Tauberian theory, transport equation, and quantum field theory. V. S. Vladimirov is the founder of one of the leading schools in mathematical physics.

International conference "Mathematical physics. Vladimirov-90" is organized by Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
